At 19 months old, I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a deadly genetic lung disease that had no treatments. And the first thing that out of my mouth was, well, what is life expectancy? It's just been part of my life because I have, for as long as I can remember, a new life changing medication came out that I was able to go on and that has made such a big difference. I wish policymakers in Washington would help us fight our diseases instead of fighting our ability to access medications and find cures. Um.
