Hey, it's Congressman Nick Lalota. For Long Islanders, paying taxes can feel like getting a root canal. But this tax season, it hurts a lot less because of the middle class tax cuts I helped pass in Washington. The average Long Islander will pay $2860 less for homeowners crushed by New York's worst in the nation income and property taxes, we quadrupled the salt deduction cap for seniors over 65. A new $6000 deduction helping them stay in the communities they helped build for families with kids, an expanded child tax credit, putting real breathing room back into monthly budgets. And for tipped and overtime workers, new deductions on those earnings. Talk with your tax preparer about how these changes apply to you or visit my website. This tax season, Long Islanders get real relief, not another root canal.
