I'm Chris Velasquez. My favorite show is Dirty Jobs. It reminded me of growing up on the farm, working road construction, and night shifts at the potato chip factory. I've liked every job, and I've learned from every experience. We have tens of thousands of good paying skilled trades jobs unfilled in Michigan because students have been discouraged. Democrats even passed a bill last year limiting the number of plumber apprentices. As your state senator, I will work for real opportunities for our students.
