The people behind the wealth tax say that it's a one-time tax on billionaires. That sounded good to me, but then I did my own research. Turns out it's not just a one-time tax, and not just for billionaires either. It's got a hidden loophole that lets politicians expand the tax to anyone without voter approval. That means my savings account, 401k, even my home equity could all get taxed, and that's just crazy. Prop 40, it's gonna be a tax on all of us. Vote no.
